Comforted by Silence

When Lynne and I were in Cincinnati for Peter Block’s recent conference, we heard Angeles Arrien, a cultural anthropologist, talk about internal processes.  She spoke for about an hour, and gave us several nuggets of gold. I want to share a quote that stands out for me.  Throughout our lives if we get discouraged, sad or even depressed Angeles suggested we ask ourselves this question, “when did we stop dancing, when did we stop singing, when did we stop listening to or telling stories, and being comforted by silence?”

So when a friend sent me this video, I wanted to take a moment to experience the magic of the universe and be comforted by silence.
