Gratefulness

Do you make your adult kids or grand kids do that thing where everybody goes around the circle and says what they are grateful for in the past year?  We do it before we serve the big turkey meal at Thanksgiving. Sure some family members protest, “Oh are we gonna do that again…do we have to?” The folks (well the guys) who don’t want to show emotion, heaven forbid, protest loudly. But they aren’t alone are they gals?

I am completely grateful for my grand kids who jump right in head first to share their “grateful” list. Some of them plan what they are going to share ahead of time.  They say funny and sweet things that make us all laugh and sometimes cry.

I love to be grateful out loud with our family. And I hope you have much to be grateful for this year too.
